Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the O.penVAPE vape pen?

O.penVAPE vape pens are very easy to use and operate. Simply screw on your favorite O.penVAPE essential oil vape pen cartridge and pull for up to 8 seconds for the perfect puff… every time. For optimal performance, charge the pen fully before use, and allow 3-4 hours for the first three charges.

If I break my pen or it is not working correctly, what can I do?

O.penVAPE offers a no-hassle return policy to make exchanging your failing device worry-free. If you break your pen (hey...accidents happen, right?), or it starts malfunctioning, you have two options to return it.
1) Return it to an O.penVAPE retailer.
2) Return it directly to us via our online return process (this requires you to mail your malfunctioning device back to O.penVAPE).

Please see our warranty page for additional details on how to return your product online or in stores.

Can I use another cartridge with my O.penVAPE?

Our pens and cartridges go together like peanut butter and jelly, like milk and cookies, like a burger and fries. Why mess with perfection?

While another cartridge may work with your O.penVAPE, we cannot guarantee that non-O.penVAPE cartridges will work with your pen, and we certainly don't recommend it...it's seriously bad karma.

What is O.juice?

O.juice is the base liquid that comes in the O.penVAPE Kit. It is used for mixing your own essential oils. The purpose of O.juice is to make the oil less viscous and more readily vaporized. O.juice is made from a substance called PEG (polyethylene glycol) that has been approved by the FDA and is commonly used in many medical applications like infant inhalers and promoting the acceptance of transplanted organs in the body.

When the light is blinking what does that mean?

A blinking light can mean one of two things:
  1. When you are using the O.penVAPE the light at the base of the pen will blink after 8 seconds, letting you know when you've reached the Perfect Puff.
  2. The light on the go.pen and the O.penVAPE will blink repeatedly when the pen needs a charge.
The vape pen will come partially charged (possibly fully charged if your retailer has done so). For optimal performance, charge the pen fully before use, and allow 3-4 hours for the first three charges. After that, charging will typically take 2-3 hours.

Can I refill the cartridges with my own oil?

No. The pre-filled cartridges from Organa Labs and Bakked are not refillable. They are disposable and should be thrown away once they are empty.

The O.penVAPE Kit, which you can purchase online, comes with an empty, refillable vape pen cartridge that has a 6-month lifespan and is designed to allow you to mix your own essential oils for the O.penVAPE pen.

How do I know that my pen is fully charged?

The indicator light on the go.pen will turn off when the pen is fully charged. The indicator light on the O.penVAPE will turn from red to green.

How should I store my vape pen cartridges to ensure that they remain fully functional?

Never expose your vape pen cartridges to extreme heat or cold as this could cause the oil to leak. If you choose to store your cartridge separately from your O.penVAPE battery and charger (which we recommend for child safety), please replace the rubber sleeve on the bottom of the cartridge to prevent leakage. High altitudes can periodically cause the cartridges to leak as well; to prevent this, you can store your O.penVAPE or cartridge in a pressure-resistant case.

Is it best to exhaust the battery and then give a full re-charge or does it matter?

You can slightly prolong the battery's charge capacity by periodically exhausting the battery prior to re-charging; however, this is not necessary. Feel free re-charge battery any time it seems to be running low.
